It is with great pleasure that I offer a reference for Ele Papapetrou covering her time at the Adelphi Hotel. Ele started with us at the Adelphi Hotel in December 1993, relatively soon after we built and opened the hotel. She rose through the positions of Head Receptionist and House Manager, becoming General Manager in September 1999. She has continued in the position with the new operators of the Hotel since we sold it and they took over in July 2003 I can also vouch for the fact that she remained with the Hotel as General Manager until 2005. From the start, Ele worked tirelessly for the hotel - more than fulfilling her duties as set from time to time. As our General Manager she had almost total freedom to run the hotel, reporting monthly to the Directors. We had experienced some difficulties with the position of General Manager prior to appointing Ele, but from the time she took control of the business it immediately recovered and ran smoothly and profitably. Ele carried out her duties with great enthusiasm, being available at any time of day or night, and marketing the Hotel with pride wherever she found the opportunity. Under her management the Hotel was always highly regarded. Ele always leads with first class presentation, and she trained her staff accordingly. I attend the Certified Hospitality Supervisor (CHS) course and both the presentation of it and the Trainer Mrs. Ele Papapetrou were excellent. I recommend to all Supervisor's and Managers of the Hospitality Industry to attend the course in order to gain the benefits of it. When I attended the CHS course I was expecting another training course with the usual role play, theory etc, but I was pleasantly surprised at how different it was. The course was tailored and specific for Hospitality industry, it gave lots of good examples and was interactive all the way through. I found it to be enlightening but more importantly the delivery took account of different learning styles, something which as a trainer myself I recognize the importance of. I found the course enjoyable, the content interesting and the outcome very beneficial (The Head of Departments and Supervisors communicate better between them and their Teams and definitely their leadership skills improved). In addition to the above the sections on motivation and performance improvement were very beneficial and the training was full of practical tips and the interactive approach was excellent.
